Community Employment (CE)
Empowering Individuals for a Brighter Future
Community Employment (CE) is a key part of YMCA Dublin’s commitment to offering growth and development opportunities to individuals in our community and beyond.
For over 30 years, YMCA Dublin has been providing this essential service, helping participants achieve their goals, whether it be full-time employment, full-time education or other personal aspirations.
We have CE vacancies in 9 different service areas including Fitness, Finance, Childcare, Catering, Youth Work, Housekeeping, Communications, Maintenance, Reception/Administration.
What is Community Employment?
The Community Employment scheme is designed to help long-term unemployed people and those facing other challenges return to work.
We offer part-time and temporary jobs within local communities, allowing participants to gain valuable work experience, qualified training and skills.
Why Community Employment Matters
At the YMCA, we believe everyone deserves hope and a chance at a better future.
Our Community Employment scheme supports and guides individuals on their journey to self-improvement and success. While on the CE scheme, participants are encouraged to seek permanent or full-time jobs based on the new skills and experience they gain. This prepares them for a successful transition into their chosen careers.
Our Impact
For over three decades, the YMCA’s Community Employment scheme has made a positive impact in many lives. We have helped countless individuals reach their employment and personal goals, giving them a sense of achievement and hope for a better future.
