Based on 53 Aungier St, Dublin 2 we have fitness classes ranging from Cardio (Cardio Attack) to Strength (Strength & Cardio, Killer Bells) to HIIT style classes (Tabata) and
All our classes are suitable for all fitness levels as the fitness staff will vary the intensity, reps or weight for each person and modify any of the exercises to suit you. We have no joining fees on any of our memberships and we are Dublin’s only social enterprise gym with 100% of our profits going towards our work with young people in Dublin’s inner city.
All classes are attended on a pay as you go basis, for non members 10EUR and none members 7EUR”
Our senior classes at the YMCA are open to people 50 years plus. Our classes are based on fundamental movements, exercises and techniques catered around a low impact enjoyable fitness experience. Our senior fitness classes are a combination of both gym and studio based workouts where your progress will be monitored.
Box, Barbells & Abs
A fun boxercise style workout combined with strength and conditioning focused exercises followed by an intense core orientated circuit to finish.
Weights based class using various resistance training systems. This workout targets all over the body and will overload each muscle group using compound movements,drop sets, super sets and matrix’s.
Using only body weight designed exercises, this class is energetic and challenging yet rewarding.
Designed for strengthening core and stabilizing muscles, this class will manifest itself ideally in accordance with other sports specific training or daily functional tasks.

Yogalattes combine the yoga practice of focusing the mind, development of body awareness, strength, stamina, flexibility and balance with Pilates techniques to improve posture all coming together in a beautiful practice to unite a strong foundation, movement and steady breath.

Mobcon is tailored around functional movement and mobility, this class is ideal for relieving soft tissue tension and stress, This is the perfect combination of strength and conditioning through a sequence of flexibility and stability to help improve movement quality.
Combat is a cardio class inspired by martial arts where you can punch, kick and strike your way through a total body workout to motivating music. Expect to burn heaps of calories and feel great while you’re doing it! Great if your goal is weight loss or general fitness
Aerobics is a form of physical exercise that combines rhythmic aerobic exercise with stretching and strength training routines with the goal of improving all elements of fitness (flexibility, muscular strength, and cardio-vascular fitness). It is performed to music and it is a combination of low to moderate intensity movements, totally low impact workout and very enjoyable one.
A 45 minutes cardiovascular- strength training class designed to make you lean and defined providing results- oriented whole body workout. Build and sculpt muscles, strengthen your core, improve your strength and flexibility while burning fat and calories by using just one set of dumbbells. You will gain strength, balance, flexibility and endurance while focusing on total body health. Also, it helps to prevent the development of osteoporosis while firing up your metabolism, helping you to lose weight and inches. Accommodates all fitness levels.
Using both kettlebells and barbells to combine compound movements with light weight loads and high reps you will work multiple muscles at a time to really burn fat and tone you all over! Adaptations and progressions will be provided so this class is ideal for both beginners and advanced level.
Circuit training is a great way to strengthen many different muscles within one workout. In this class you can also do an endurance circuit that combines strengthening exercises with short spurts of aerobics. With Intermediate Circuits (minimal equipment) you get longer rest periods and short, low impact cardio exercises.
Pilates mat exercise is a low impact workout developed by Joseph Pilates over 70 years ago and it is specifically designed to increase strength, flexibility, better posture and better breathing capacity and overall body awareness and health. Pilates focuses on the smaller and deeper muscles that support our body structure and it has proven itself to be invaluable not only as a form of general fitness but as an important support to professional sports training and physical rehabilitation.
