Aungier Street Gym

Based in the heart of Dublin city on 53 Aungier St, Dublin 2, YMCA Dublin Gym combines everything you need to get real results and total body training such as our fully-equipped gym with squat racks, machine weights, dedicated free weights section, conditioning equipment, cardio equipment. We also run a wide range of exercise classes, check out our current timetable for more information.

We have a wide range of membership options to suit everyone, we have student memberships, unemployed/OAP memberships and much more, memberships start from 3months and run up to 12 months. Annual memberships can be paid upfront or monthly through our online digital payment system.

We are Dublin’s only social enterprise with all profits going toward funding the essential work carried out by the YMCA youth charity service in Dublin’s inner city.

We are excited to announce the official launch of our Nutrition Webinar Course starting 16th February, this course will be delivered over a 4 week period with two live sessions per week on Tuesdays & Thursdays via zoom. 

Booking is highly recommended as spaces are limited, members will book their spot through your gofox app (App store or Google Play store)., once done you will be sent a confirmation email with links available to access the webinar.

Week 1: Macronutrients;

Learn the basics of Nutrition and how to provide your body with the necessary nutrients. Understand Carbohydrates, Protein and Fats and their Functions and Requirements.

Week 2: Nutrition Requirements and Caloric Needs: 

Understand your daily Caloric needs and energy balance. Learn about the Food Pyramid, Macronutrient ratios and Serving Sizes

Week 3: Healthy Eating Plate + Micronutrients; 

Know how your plate should look like and how to put together a healthy, balanced meals and learn about the Functions and Requirements of Vitamins and Minerals

Week 4: Critical Thinking: 

Be a critical thinker, look behind product claims and learn how to analyse and read food labels. Understand how to improve your body composition through nutrition.

COVID-19 Reopening Changes and Updates

 

Due to the recent announcement by the government  on 23rd February 2021 our gyms will remain closed we anticipate reopening Tuesday 6th April 2021.

What does Level 5 mean for you?

With our Gyms closed our classes are now online.

Information for Monthly Subscription Members:

Your membership is frozen effective 31st December 2020

Any days paid  31st December 2020  will be credited when we resume normal operation.

Information for Annual Members;

Your membership is frozen effective 31st December 2020

Any days paid will be credited when we resume normal operations.

What happens when restrictions ease 6th April 2021

Level 3 – Gyms Open (Outdoor & Online Classes)

Your membership will be restarted automatically and any credits will be added to your account

Gym access will resume as normal with an advanced booking.

Classes will resume with a blend of online & outdoor classes

Level 2 – Gyms Open (Indoor, Outdoor & Online Classes)

Your membership will be restarted and any credits will be added to your account

Gym access as normal with an advanced booking.

Indoor classes will resume with a max capacity of 6 & Outdoor classes with max of 15.

If you are interested in renting equipment please fill out this form, closing date for this is 8th January 2021; a deposit of €50 is required for the rental of equipment.

 

Please note; Your membership with us will remain active therefore payments will be debited as normal for those on monthly subscriptions; membership paid upfront will continue on as normal.  

 

Please note; Deposits are paid back once equipment has been returned in working order. Equipment is limited and will be rented on a first come first served basis, we do hope to accommodate as many of our valued members as possible.
