Based in the heart of Dublin city on 53 Aungier St, Dublin 2, YMCA Dublin Gym combines everything you need to get real results and total body training such as our fully-equipped gym with squat racks, machine weights, dedicated free weights section, conditioning equipment, cardio equipment. We also run a wide range of exercise classes, check out our current timetable for more information.
We have a wide range of membership options to suit everyone, we have student memberships, unemployed/OAP memberships and much more, memberships start from 3months and run up to 12 months. Annual memberships can be paid upfront or monthly through our online digital payment system.
We are Dublin’s only social enterprise with all profits going toward funding the essential work carried out by the YMCA youth charity service in Dublin’s inner city.

COVID-19 Reopening Changes and Updates
We are delighted to announce we will shortly see a return of indoor classes in Aungier st & Sandymount on 20th September!
For the period 20th Sept to 22nd October there will be mandatory capacity restrictions and a covid cert will be required. We understand that after the 22nd October these restrictions will be lifted you can read more HERE.
Booking process; Gym & Outdoor class sessions must be booked in advance through Glofox on either Apple or Google Stores For members that don’t have access to a smartphone & therefore Glofox is not an option you can now book your sessions via our website Sandymount or Aungier.
Checking in/Scan On arrival check in using your bar code found on your app at the front desk. To access the barcode open the app which should bring you the timetable tab, at the bottom you will seen a little ican thats says chcek in, press this to enlarge image and scan at the front desk. This is vital as the digital log of attendance plays an important role in contract tracing if ever required. Members cannot access without Tagging in there can be no exceptions.
Face Coverings; Must be worn in all communal areas of our facilities, except for when you are in a zone on the gym floor & in the room the exercise classes are being delivered from.
Changing rooms and showers; both changing rooms and showers are non operational due to covid measures. Access is strictly prohibited, no exceptions.
Gym Floor Zones; Reminder Zones on the gym floor are clearly marked and are limited to one person per zone, no exceptions.
Equipment & Sanitising; Each Zone has a cleaning station containing Paper Towels, Cleaning Product & bin. Sanitising Gel is available throughout the gym. You must wipe down used equipment with cleaning products provided when leaving a zone.
If you have any of the Covid Symptoms below you should behave as if you have the virus & self-isolate for 14 days and contact your GP immediately for further advice. Symptoms include:
- a fever (high temperature – 38 degrees Celsius or above)
- a cough – this can be any kind of cough, not just dry
- shortness of breath or breathing difficulties
- loss or change to sense of smell or taste
Remember it can take up to 14 days for symptoms to show. They can be similar to symptoms of cold and flu. Getting an early diagnosis from your GP means you can get the help you need and take steps to avoid spreading the virus, if you have it.
