Built on a social enterprise model, all income we generate goes directly back into funding our local community projects and initiatives, youth work, youth cafe, plus one mentoring, community work, community childcare, education, and community employment.
Since 1849 our approach has been to work through mind, body and spirit. We work in and with communities to support individuals, children and young people to develop the skills, experiences, relationships and behaviours for healthy, confident and successful futures.
Our vision is that we believe everyone should have the opportunity to belong to healthy, confident, secure and connected communities. Today, our staff and trustees are working towards an ambitious 5-year plan of sustained and quality growth as outlined in our Strategic Plan.

Our Youth Spaces programmes include youth work, our youth cafe, Plus-One Mentoring programme and STEP, our back to education programme, which all strengthen the local community by getting young people and their families involved in a range of activities.

We engage and support the local community with our Community Hub space, through Community Employment schemes for those are long-term unemployed, social housing for those experiencing homelessness and Breathe, a safe space where you can be yourself.
We have everything you need in our gyms to get fit and healthy. Our facilities for hire include dance studios, an indoor sports hall and a range of outdoor Astro pitches. All profits from our fitness social enterprises go towards funding our work with vulnerable young people in Dublin’s inner city.
The 170 Fund has been created to present businesses and organisations with the opportunity to support YMCA Dublin in an impactful way, through affordable support with a lasting relationship.
You can get involved with YMCA Dublin in loads of different ways, as a once off or on an ongoing basis. You can get involved by donating, volunteering, fundraising or getting your company involved as a corporate partner.
We have a range of gym only or gym and class membership options for our Aungier St or Sandymount gyms. We have no joining fees on any of these options and all profits support our work with vulnerable young people in Dublin’s inner city.
