ECCE Room

Our full time and part time pre school rooms are equipped with Montessori materials which are integrated into the child-led and play-based curriculum. Our highly qualified team strives to ensure that your child’s time with us is as enjoyable as possible. The team in this room works with each child at their individual pace to help them maximise their potential cognitively, emotionally, socially and physically.

Our curriculum is devised by the children and the staff. We look for themes that come from the children’s play and conversation, as well as encouraging them to learn all about the usual topics, i.e the weather, seasons, days of the week and different types of occasions such as Christmas and Halloween. We also have gymboree once a month which is all about singing and dancing, and we are also lucky to have Sprog Soccer once a week, which includes all sorts of sporting activities.

You supply

We do ask that children are able to use the toilet by the time they reach our Pre School/ECCE rooms. However, we are more than happy to work with parents if they are having difficulty toilet training their child(ren).

At YMCA Childcare we pride ourselves on being inclusive and supportive to children and to parents. We work with outside agencies such as Better Start to ensure that we are providing the right educational needs for your child, and also work alongside parents who may have concerns surroudning their child’s developmental needs.
