We are delighted to announce we are reopening YMCA Dublin on a phased basis

Childcare is first to reopen on Monday, 29th June
We look forward to welcoming children back to YMCA Childcare. Over the past few weeks our team has been busy preparing to reopen. We are following all regulatory guidance & best practice. Staff have completed training in preparation for the return of the children.
We will be operating the PlayPod and Keyworker models. The Playpod model restricts interactions to closed groups of children and adults as an alternative to social distancing, which is not possible with young children. Pods will be limited to one per room for the initial period, this will evolve over time and additional pods will be created within rooms. The key person approach in early years is a method of care in which each child is assigned a particular educator who will act as their ‘go to’ person. This person supports the child & their family back into the setting and will continue to be the key person for routine care and for moments of emotional intimacy, building up a secure attachment with the child.
Fitness
We are working toward reopening our Gyms & Sports facilities on 20th July – Whilst we are looking forward to welcoming you back you will need to bear in mind that there will be changes to many aspects of Gym Life. Changes include pre booking Gym & Classes via our app, Social distancing adaptations & capped capacity. These & other changes will be communicated in advance of reopening. As we work through the final details we will continue to deliver our online class and lifestyle content on our various channels.
Youth Spaces
Programmes continue online for young people, as we work towards a phased re-opening from the end of July. We will be working with small groups outside initially & will move to a mixed model of youth work from September. For further information, e-mail youth.work@ymca-ireland.net.
PlusOne Mentoring
Mentoring continues to work online & a phased reopening mixed model will begin in September. Additional mentoring spaces will be available, if you know of a young person who might benefit from this contact paul.keegan@ymca-ireland.net.
Changes to Note
We have implemented all government guidelines for opening our building which includes: Hand sanitising stations, signage, and revised cleaning protocols and products.
Be safe, be responsible, & see you soon, YMCA Team.
